If you want a good place to read about underwater photography there are several sites I have found that are very good. For a free magazine on underwater photography see here. http://www.uwpmag.com Underwater macro photographers love to take pictures of nudibranchs. These are essentially pretty underwater slugs. They are many that are weird and wonderful. See here. http://www.nudipixel.net/ I will post more good sites in the coming months.

i had a go at it a good few years ago in the red sea with a canon 3mp powershot and a crystal housing ,it was one of the things that started me along the path to wildlife photography ,if i was younger i would have liked to have really gotten into u/w work but time unfortunately creeps on ,far to rapidly

Blackfox, it is never too late as long as you are fit and well. I live and dive in Spain I'm 57 but enjoy every minute underwater.

i,ve got 10 years more than you under my belt johnathan ,but if i lived around the med or red sea thats the way i would be going , surviving on a pension doesn't really lend itself to investing large sums in gear that i would rarely use either .hopefully one day i'll have another go ,till then keep posting them pictures and making me dream LOL
