Okay just playing devils advocate.... I know some of the advantages from using raw. I've recovered many an image's colour balance and exposure over the years. Lol But wIth all the sensor and software improvements that are going on with Nikon new models, has the in camera processing also improved to the point where NEF shooting is no longer necessary? I realise the last pip of quality might be squeezed from a NEF, but the need to keep updating software just to be able to handle the latest NEFs, causes me to say "******* them, in camera jpeg is now good enough" |

You are getting too used to Fuji jpegs. The Nikon jpegs tend to be less good I think but it is about needs and end use. I also prefer a NEF as I can produce different end product more easily (I believe). |
