I will wait for the sit down version. I was thinking that I really wish I had a PPL (Private Pilot License). Still time for me to get one but is it worth it.

Stunning bit of kit! Re. the PPL, I don't think it's that hard to get, question is will you use it enough to warrant it? Running an aircraft is a very expensive pastime, even if you are in a syndicate. Last time I flew a Cessna back in the 1990's it was £60 per hour plus fuel, landing fees etc.

Everyone who uses a drone should be forced to ride it

Robert wrote: Stunning bit of kit!Yes those are the reasons why I havent bothered in the past. You need to actually use your PPL to keep it up.

I considered it back in the 80's. I then thought about the number of times I was likely to actually go somewhere ( never saw the point of just going up and around in circles) ...then I looked at being able to fly over water...and in cloud etc. Then considered transport when you got to the destination. The Add ons seemed to push the price up and up. I also had a friend who used his Piper as business transport. He used to fly to meetings in the West Country and back to Norfolk. The number of times he was held over because of bad weather made me realise that in the UK it was a waste of time and money.
