The server went down last night - now on the backup server so things may be a bit slower.

Apologies if you got the site not found message!

Oddly - it seems just as fast to me - has anyone noticed it being slow today?

We will for the moment - the motherboard in the main server is foobarred - needed an update anyway - this backup is the same spec but less RAM - new board ordered with twice the cpu power and RAM of the old server - lets hope it flies!

Chris
Is the timed out period fixed? I notice that when writing a longish post the page shuts off and goes back to the intro page. When I select the thread again the text I had been adding is still there, but it’s a pain if one is pondering on what words to use. (Perhaps I am getting old and more ponderous)

I thought the time was longer when you went to this different server…but it seems to be back to the shorter window of opportunity.

Hmmm - not sure what is going on - it may be an issue with the server I am using - I am going to leave this reply for a while and see what happens ...... 15 mins later and nothing has changed.... maybe something on your connection?

I’m having the same problem as Eric. I also did a long post and when I posted it it came up blank.

Hopefully the new power supply unit for the other server will turn up soon and we can go back to that one.
