Well maybe not a photographic project as such but having just spent the last 5 weeks in France, you kinda start seeing amusing things! Ive uploaded 8 that (at least) amused me. Or maybe it was the onset of homesickness?

Great series Eric, wish I had the imagination to come up with photographs like these.

Good to see you weren't at sea this week!!!

The 'photographs' were all there just waiting to be captured. Its merely a case of looking for the unusual as you walk around.

I did a lot of street markets while in France. The Fuji X100 is perfect hung round the neck to take waistlevel grab shots without lifting to the eye.

Ive added a few more on the link.

Nice add ons to the series. I have been known to have that same look when looking in the window of a French Patisserie as that young person looking into the display case.

I responded to your comment about being at sea in the "winter" posting started by Ed.

Nicely done, Eric, lucky guy too.. But for you it's a hoop skip and a jump!! :-) I'd be back in France in a heart beat, or Spain for that matter. BUT the wife thinks we should be exploring other vistas???

Decisions decisions!!! But for me it's simple???

More like a 'hold your breath' and scoot through the channel tunnel...40mins to Calais and its free!

I am starting to plan for a 2013 road trip through France, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech republic, Germany then home! Just have to convince the wife to accompany me...and my customers to let me off work for 2months.

Not strictly free....Tesco vouchers ..sort of underwater miles. LOL

You get a 3:1 exchange rate on the points they give for shopping/petrol. And as we use Tesco credit cards as well, this doubles the points saved.

We have to shop somewhere, so we use tesco to get the points.

Our routine domestic shopping and fuel bill brings us in enough for two trips a year. The occasional lens or camera boosts the kitty as well.

PS Jan has surprised me and said she would like to try the sulphur baths in Budapest! I told her she could have a bath with me any time ...and I would try to simulate the effect! She gave me that strange withering glare!

OK, I understand now!

I steadfastly refuse to enrol into these 'club points' and similar schemes. I guess that is one of the costs of not playing the game the coprorate's way.

I didnt enrol into a 'clubpoints' scheme as such. I just got their credit card and the other stuff is automatic. Doesnt bother me why they are doing it.

If they want to play silly marketing games off our buying pattern data, so be it.

I just use their card to maximise the accumulation of 'underwater' miles.

I do the credit points thing at the local food store.. There prices are comparable, and every $100 spent gets 10 cents off per gallon!! And the Dodge Van (Espace) has a 21 gallon tank!!! And I like gas around to $3.00 even per gallon now days!!!

:salute:
