Just watched it. Very interesting. When he was talking to the guy at the reeves studio (opened in 1855) and he asked if his broken nose could be fixed, he said yes with a pencil on the glass plate. Manipulation in 1855, there’s one for those that say it only started when photoshop arrived.

Yes interesting also watched it last night. Ian did you get my message? I think you once had a Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 ED VR? A photo friend just asked me what it's quality is like. I found one for her on Wex for £569 she has now got it, so as not to let somebody else get there first. Not too serious as we can test it and send it back if it proves to be no good but Wex did list as 9 out of 10.

It's a good lens as long as it's a good copy, some were a bit wayward. It might well need AF micro adjustment, I had to do it for some of my friends copies one of which although he has now got a Z8 is still using the 200-500mm as he loves the lens.

Lol - more "manipulation" - thinning the waistline and removing a double chin ... Shame the powers that be banned the use of cameras in the trenches after 1915 - I would have loved to seen some of my Grandad and his horses but all I have is one of a group outside a hut - he was a quartermaster sergeant in Northern France near Wissant. I do have many from my father - on various ships of the Royal Navy - he carried a Purma throughout the war. I still have that camera in my collection.

Thanks Ian, my friend got the lens from Wex as she did not want to let it go to another at that price. We tested it on Sat and it is pin sharp and works well on her Nikon D3500.
