Canon have upped the ante in the APS-C sensor context with the release of a 32MP sensor. https://www.dpreview.com/articles/8673278060/canon-s-32mp-chip-marks-the-end-of-the-24mp-aps-c-era I guess the next APS-C Nikon model will also need to be 32MP. Still think that 24MP when filled well is great. However if we need to crop then extra MP are useful as long as it does not increase noise.

I agree about noise and hope that Nikon is not pushed to go that way. I find tyat 20.9MP on the D500 is more than enough for all I need top do. Compare images printed from D300 (Taken at 200 ISO) there is little to complin at quality of an A3+ print. JK thanks for the BluCross sort out!
