Recently we have had some adjustments to the image gallery.
In the past we used an add-in gallery product called ImagePost. This had some deficiencies namely users were meant to be able to log-in automatically via the forum logon or by going to the Gallery directly and then login. The auto-logon did not always work. Also the product did not seem to be well supported with few enhancements in the last five years.

This new feature, described below, will apply to all newly uploaded images.
You may also comment on an image that already exists in the Gallery by making the comment there.

Sometimes we get images in posts and we want to comment on the image itself but it is not relevant to the thread topic discussion.
The new comment against the image can be made using the url 'Click here to comment on this image', or by going into the Gallery and commenting against the image itself.

If there are comments made about the image they show if you click on the image or if you see the url 'Read comments on this image'. This will display the image comments by all users.

Thanks to Chrisbet for this latest enhancement.

Please PM me if you have issues or problems with this new feature as this forum is ReadOnly.

Note:

The 'Click here to comment on this image' link will change to 'Read comments on this image' if there are already comments on the image.
It also changes to 'You have unread comments on this image' if you have previously read the comments and there is a new comment.

There is also a button on the splash page similar to the new messages button that flags up new comments.

The button will take you to the comments page for the images and there is a link there in the top menu bar to take you to the post & topic in which the image appears.
