My first real post here.

Seems like a lot of learning need to to post URL's like the old forum... I will just post it raw.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-17673213

If anybody can explain how to post a link like this:

LINK: Lewis Hine

I would appreciate it, I hate using raw URL's especially long ones, it's so inelegant.

Very simple to do on this forum Robert, much easier than on the old one. Type Lewis Hine, highlight the text, click the URL button  and paste the link into the pop-up box.

Thanks Steve, no doubt I will learn these things with time!

It only took me about 5 years to do it on the old forum so I guess I will get there!

I am still dogged by the misaligned text spilling over the avatar as below, (if I can figure how to post an image...)

I remember last time it happened you suggested I refresh Safari.

I have reset, refreshed, cleared catches, restarted Safari and the the computer, It still does it, but not on all posts as you can see my post is OK, yours the text box left margin has lost position.

Seems like Mountain Lion is full of fleas!! It needs to go to the vet Robert.

Snow Leopards are immune to fleas, ticks and many other nasty bugs.

Mmmm, Well I am running everything on ML, very few issues really and some nice features.

I would be lost with SL now although I have a couple of old machines using it.

I must upgrade to the current version.

I think I'll wait it out, I am not convinced that Lion is that much better.

Having used lion and Mt Lion exclusively for several months SL feels very old fashioned and primitive. Though I won't deny SL is a very stable and effective OS.

The way Apple are gradually incorporating the iCloud seamlessly is a great experience. Despite my original misgivings I like it. You can take or leave many of the frivolous features like launch pad and mission control, neither of which I use.

I love the way I can start a document at home then pick it up anywhere and on any device, even on a vanilla PC in an internet Cafe. It's still in development but it works perfectly.

I love Mission control!

Three fingered swipe up to ogranise the screens and then back and forth as I need. Wouldn't know what to do without it now.

Never really used launch pad though.

I only use two finger swipes, mainly as back and forward in Safari, plus scrolling.

Current theme is Blue
