Yes another year starts.
What does Nikon offerus in 2016?

Well apparently the D5 is in development if not in the shops. I expect to see the first details in mid-January at the CES event.

I wish Iain but these wishes havent materialised these last 6 years so I have purchased a D300S for my wildlife and long sports shots.

That's why I went for the D7200 but would be tempted if a D400 comes out.

Happy New Year!

Got a new toy - a D3300! So light and surprisingly good. And cheap.

Happy New Year from me too."....albeit a bit belated, due to family commitments.

I was obviously a bad boy last year as Santa missed me. Maybe shooing the deers out of the back garden wasn't a good idea?

Anyway we have started the year with plans to knock down walls (again!)
I blame Robert Plowden ....his building renovation condition must have been infectious on his last visit....as the wife's caught it!

Will I ever get out and take photos?

Still, the business closes in March, just written to bank to close account and transfer money to....the wife's renovation project.

Eric doesnt sound much like retirement! You need to get out and take Jan with you. Get away from the wet and grey UK and come down to Spain. Today was a calm and sunny 24C, but this is an occasional day. Normal temperatures for the time of year will return on Monday with 14-17C.

Very sorry Eric, it's great fun! The boys are enjoying it, mostly...

Cleaning up after the chimney demolition...

The stairs Michael wrecked, carrying two buckets of bricks down at a time...

Michael making a brew in a lull of the activity...

Christopher taking a breather after all the action!

I can send them both down if you like, they will have all your walls down in double quick time I can assure you. ;-)

Quite mild and relatively dry here on the east coast. We are hoping to return to European travels this year...so you never know. You will be the first to know if we cross the Pyrenees.
