For the sake of clarity should the notes on image size qualify what you mean by half a meg? Is that before or after any compression?

I think that most of my images that I loaded are only 150-300kb that is before loading. I dont have watermarks in my images so if someone 'lifts' an image then it will only be useful in a limited capacitty.

So it's the compressed jpeg size we should be keeping below 500kb.

The quoted size refers to the upload size Eric.

Thanks Steve. I' ve never really bothered with this in the past as I was just making sure that the images that I upload are small enough to be less than useful for brocchure reproduction

Taking Jonathan's advice, I resized some of my photos and changed the resolution to 72 ppi. Thanks for the advice. - EdM
