You do come up with some tough questions Kathy! ;-)

I use CP batteries from my local supplier:

My original batteries which are quite old, I guess 6 or 7 years at least are still going strong, I bought another batch maybe 4 or 5 years ago and most of them are being rejected by the CP charger while the older batteries just seem to keep going, also the largest capacity batteries, 2200mAh, of the second batch, tended to fail first, while the 1800mAh lasted longer, some are still going but not many.

Uniross seem to have a good name but I have no personal experience.

I use Varta Li-Ion 18650 cells for my D1/D1x and my specialised high powered Ultra Violet lamp and they are ultra reliable, but that is a different beast.

I think we tend to pick a suppler and stick with them until something fails unexpectedly, then perhaps check around?

My supplier seems to be listing a different CP AA battery, at least the wrapper design is different and they have now upped the capacity to 2450mAh, whether they are any more reliable remains to be seen.

I expect all our experiences will differ.
