The new version of Text Edit has different behaviours some of which can be changed others not. I find the new bit where it opens the last open document (even though I closed it) to be very annoying. If I open Notes I want to open a blank page to paste something into.
Notes works great on my iPad and iPhone but when I add to or start a note on either mac, it starts creating multiple copies of the note - looks like one new one for each word I type...it's a mess for me.
I've queried apple support but have not reply yet; I think I'll have to switch to Evernote in the meantime.
