I find it better than Mountain Lion which I thought was a bit unfinished.
Get the free Mavericks download from the AppStore then save it if you can for reuse. After that you need to get updates to many applications.
Only loss so far is DoubleCommand that allows me to pre-program or change keys on the keyboard.
