I remember the days when I never changed camera bodies for years. I experimented with new film stock when it came out, as this was a minor investment. Most of my money was channelled into getting better and better quality glass. Today, the quality of DSLRs has approached the same point (where we no longer need to change bodies) and the minimal cost of digital 'film' means we could again plough money into glass.....but for software. THAT has become the money hole....if we let it!
