Most routers (and its particularly easy with Apple Airport) will allow you to block the Internet based on time/MAC address. That might be better than allowing 24/7 access

It's also easy if they have a mac to block certain sites (YouTube, pirate bay etc.) and apps (transmission, µtorrent etc.) using parental controls
