In my village every year we have the Woodcote steam and veteran transport rally, you don't have to go very far at that event to hear some old fart pulling someone else down, for example two miniature traction engines, both built and finished to exacting standards, but if one has pulled a load of two tons, the other will brag his can pull three because the other guy's cannot be built as well by some perceived divine decree, and so it goes. The better man is the one who doesn't rise to it. In fact, since seeing Robert's work I have more of an interest in Marlins and more of a knowledge of them.
