Same here, had loads of bikes when I was younger. Basically not many had cars back then, bikes was all we had and you needed mechanical knowledge or you didn't get to work on time.

As for amateur radio, well I have rigs here... a TS520S and a TS 700G. Not licenced though I suppose I should get around to it one day. Spent some time with the Foreign Office in years gone by that's how I acquired skills & became morse proficient.
Likewise I still have my Kenwood TS 520, my Novice rig, and a TS830S, and an Icom 751a the portable rig I used when I was living in Italy!! "Portable" lump, but all still work fine. Last year right after i got back on teh air I bought a new Kenwood TS 590s, everything has changed and the new rig can be run from the computer, all the logging is online and on the computer DX nets and spotting networks abound..

K1KXN is my current call the original from 1976 was WD8KXN.. Get on the air it's different and still fun..
