Graham has said to me on many occasions that he still enjoys his local camera club where he can have an outlet for his photos getting good humoured critique and a bit of lighthearted competition.

The biggest inertia I experience after all these years is ……getting out of the door specifically with the intent of taking photographs. It’s much more of a serendipitous habit these days. One way to reduce that inertia is to have a specific purpose in mind for the photographs. It is no longer clients and their wads of cash :applause:  so there must be another impetus.

I have often wondered if WE as a group set ourselves a monthly collective assignment on a range of randomly chosen subjects, and presented them on the forum, if it would be (at least) another regular talking point? Would we engage with that idea in addition to posting periodic photos of our specific photographic ‘hobby’ genre?

Wonderful Idea !!..Graham is a lucky chap indeed, and yes, getting outthere can be somewhat daunting, especially with those modern lenses that look humongous and weigh accordingly, I have allways considered the 135 f2.0/180 f2.8 ED ai-s big lenses, but compared to my 24-70 VR they`re not that big at all..but my main problem is that I need to pull myself together and study Nikon Studio so that I can post here...I promise to make serious efforts in that regard..and will also see if I can shanghai unsuspecting photogs into our realm ...
