What I find frustrating is that camera manufacturers in general all produce a range of cameras that are always a compromise - they NEVER put all the best features into just one model - so you end up with the best compromise for YOU and then when they bring out a model with a different set of compromises that are a better fit with you then you want to buy the new model. Great marketing and good for the company turnover but not so good for the consumer. Computers and cars work in a similar way. I must be the marketers' nightmare - I hang on to stuff way past its use by date! If it does break then I fix it if I can - notice that spares are impossible to get hold of? I see the government is considering " right to repair" legislation, so manufacturers will have to provide spares and repair services for 10 years.... ... and no I won't be buying any new digital camera until my 610 dies and I can't fix it, even then it will be a used camera at a fraction of the current new price!
