OK, the X2 crop factor tells the story, thanks.

That helps explain the lighter body.

Having handled a tiny Sony which was FX, literally not much more than a sensor holder really, way smaller and lighter than the big D's.  Pairing a small sensor with a larger lens is bound to pull the image in.  I was slightly interested in the Sony because it's capable of using the Nikon FX lenses with a simple adaptor.  In the end I didn't bother.  For video I love my little Go-Pro Session cube, as Graham will confirm, it's a magic little tool, good things can come in small packages.
