The addition of a like button for posts/photos etc would be a good idea , save clogging up threads with unneeded comments which often degenerate into banter between friends
Sorry, I disagree Jeff.
These LIKE buttons stifle conversation and in my opinion should be avoided. We learn from the conversation and banter Without us interacting, the forum becomes pointless. In fact I would go as far as to say, I would stop posting if all I could expect was a thumbs up or down.
I've never learnt anything from a thumbs up apart from something I did or said was considered a nebulous 'ok'.
Imagine how banal it would be down the pub, if the only reaction to your converstion was a or Ž gesture.
Sorry ...I hate all this LIKE business, it's clipping short what could be meaningful interchanges.
