Can't understand companies charging for software which is almost essential to use the product properly. Putting a 30 day trial CD in the box with the camera annoys the hell out of me. Pay £3,000 plus for a body, whats the cost of a CD and software which they have developed already. I would expect it would raise customer loyalty at least a notch with included software.
Even money grabbing Apple with their trillion $ in the bank give the major software away, the OS and the like.
