Even allowing for the forum software the On1 image has far more detail and tonal range in the rocks and the sky. This seems in line with what I have read elsewhere. Can Affinity access NIK filters? That might be a way of maximising your image potential. For images such as the above the NIK filter suit is ideal as can wring the last vestige of detail and tonal range from the image without making it look like you have. Also the affected area selection method in NIK filters is so easy and controllable. What about Capture One?
