Batteries are the worst example of built in incompatibility. But you would think, or should I say, I would like to think, that the market sale value of a rubber eyecup would be minuscule in terms of revenue from after sales. So why change that in every new model? The tooling for making different mounds, or however they make them, must be an unnecessary expense and the perfect eyepiec3 design must have been perfected after 100 years.
