Converting a camera to IR use is fine as that is a decision on a one off basis not a whole production run.
I suspect diehard Leica owners brains are wired differently from ours...

I dont begrudge anyone who wants and can afford one actually getting one.
Leica have great ideas and fine execution but at the wrong price for the mass market.
