So what is the lens focal length multiplication factor compared with FX? 500mm on DX would make it 750mm equivalent so 1" diagonal must make it quite a bit longer still, effectively.

I can't see this replacing FX, different job, different tool.

In ten years time we could be seeing a totally different imaging system where the difference between still and moving images is completely blurred and including 3D surround imaging, it's almost here now.

I tried some 3D surround vision goggles recently and the effect is stunning.

btw, the blurred pun wasn't sought but fitted nicely so I left it! o.O
