Regarding the 'two versions' it seems there will in fact be one: The XQD, the option is to return the new camera to Nikon for retrofitting two CF slots in what Nikon regard as degrading the body, because it is claimed it will cause a -4 times reduction in performance compared with the XQD spec.
That seems really stupid to downgrade a camera just to use cheaper CF cards.
I have never seen an XQD card but I am sure that anyone buying a D5 should be able to afford an XQD card!
