Why is the pursuit of perfection such a pain in the a**e.

My copy is sharp and used but buying the Fuji has given my a problem, I'm not happy because I didn't realise what I was missing in dynamic range with the Canon gear till I got the Fuji. Now I'm not happy. Why is the pursuit of perfection such a pain in the a**e.
