My other more modern Intuos tablet with the control ring, refused at first, Apparently the Wacom upgrade for Yosemite won't work correctly with Yosemite. Also the control panel is said not to work at all in the latest version. However, the previous version works OK. I don't have all the version numbers to hand, they are mentioned in this thread:

I installed 6.38-2 RC and the control panel (Pref's) and the tablet work OK. Apparently the 'correct' (latest as of ~20 Oct 2014) drivers produce wiggly lines and unexpected behaviour.
