I'm eyeing up the d810 now!
I think that you have lost your scottish blood with all that time on the Shetlands!
The D810 has some really nice features but I hardly use my D800 as I find 36MP is too much and that the D600 with 24MP delivers the same quality (almost) at half the cost.
