Never used Turninggate, the big limitation I found with the lightroom galleries was there was no header to use for the index of several galleries. although creating a home page isn't difficult, it's the return to home button which I found a challenge to add to each individual gallery.

One of the Turning Gate modules does an auto index. You can add new galleries to the front page it generates using the publisher pane which is incredibly quick and easy. Makes a page quick and very easy to update. There is also a 'Cart' for on line sales, different module, and device friendly galleries so you get a nice swipe friendly gallery which will display differently and appropriately for computers, tablets and phones.

I bought the web package (blog, gallery and cart) which was really good value for $125.
