I wouldn't be surprised if LR6 becomes subscription only and what will you do then, when Nikon release that next camera.
Stop shooting Raw, DNG Converter, Stick with the cameras you've got?
After much thought I've signed up. I was very p!$$ed initially as they were charging ~$20/month for PS/LR with an offer of $9.99 for owners of PSCS3 or later
As an owner of PSCS2 and Creative Suite 3 Design Standard I was not eligible
I ended up finding a PSCS5 upgrade for PSCS2 which made me eligible
Then, just a few months later the deal was made available for everyone.
Who knows what the deal will be in the future, but this is the way everything is going I'm afraid
Office, Spotify, Xero, Lightspeed and many others are subscription only to begin with or have recently switched
