I cringe everytime I see the images on TV that have been given away by happy snappers. People sending in photos have killed the paid for photo market. I used to get £25 or on the odd occasion £250 (cost of a SLR camera in those days) for some of my images that went to magazines or papers.
Now they get images for free and the newspapers pay nothing to people and charge a fortune for the paper!. A travesty.
